Cardiovascular assessment is the starting point for recognizing changes in a patient’s condition and a potential cardiac emergency. This webinar will review key points related to cardiovascular physical assessment and draw out new clinical applications related to assessment findings. A special emphasis will be placed on the value of heart sound assessment as it relates to the identification of potential life-threatening emergencies. The session will also include markers of risk in the cardiovascular patient and how these markers can be used to identify patients in the highest risk categories for complications. The session will conclude with critical thinking strategies to rule out obstructive forms of shock.
This 60-minute wevinar is ideal for all levels of clinicians and practitioners who are involved in the bedside physical assessment of acute or critically ill patients.
