Understanding cardiodynamics is the key to linking patient assessment to expected treatment strategies. Altered cardiodynamics occur in a range of patients, including those who have valvular heart disease, heart failure, and acute myocardial infarction. This 60-minute webinar will focus on the noninvasive assessment of hemodynamic function and the impact of altered cardiodynamics on myocardial performance. The important link between the cardiac and pulmonary systems will be highlighted in the discussion on oxygen delivery. In addition, shock states, with their unique impact on cardiodynamics will be compared and contrasted. Knowledge gained during this webinar can be applied to bedside clinical practice in a variety of settings.
