Electronic Fetal Monitoring has become the standard in the Intrapartum Period.  Through the years, we have had a variety of experts telling us how to interpret the findings.  Unfortunately, they all conflicted in the “how and what” to interpret, making documentation and communication with our team members difficult and impacting outcomes negatively. In the last 10 years, with our national focus on patient safety, many of the authorities (both nursing providers and physician providers) have developed a set of definitions to help us improve our communication and outcomes.  More recently, newer guidelines were published which further standardize our interpretation.  This new language has become the standard of care.

During this 60-minute webinar, you will learn this new terminology and explore how to apply it to your practice.  Physicians, midwives and bedside nurses need to know how to use this new language correctly in order to maximize the efficiency of their communications.  The faster you can get your point across, the faster your team can make decisions and the quicker you can implement your plan of care.  This webinar will improve your ability to make the correct decisions and improve your outcomes.
